Western – Indian Food Fusion: Lamb Tikka Masala Pizza

For this recipe, you will need:

  • Good quality store-bought pizza dough (14-inch round)
  • 1 Tablespoon butter
  • 2 Cloves crushed garlic
  • 1 Small onion
  • 250 Grams ground lamb
  • 2 Tablespoons Tikka Masala paste
  • ¼ Cup water
  • 2 Teaspoons chopped coriander
  • 2 Tablespoons plain yogurt
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 Tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 Large sliced tomato
  • 1 Small chopped bell pepper
  • 1 Cup mozzarella cheese


  1. Heat a skillet and add in butter until it’s melted.
  2. Sauté garlic and onion, then add in ground lamb. Add a bit of salt and pepper. Cook and stir occasionally until the mixture is browned.
  3. Add in tikka masala paste and water. Let it boil and then simmer for about 7 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  4. Add in plain yogurt and simmer for another 2 minutes.
  5. Allow to completely cool.
  6. Place your oven rack to the lowest level and preheat to 450 degrees F.
  7. Spread olive oil on pizza dough evenly, and then top with cooked lamb.
  8. Top with sliced tomatoes, bell peppers and mozzarella cheese.
  9. Bake for about 12-20 minutes
  10. Serve hot.
