Indian Chicken Curry

Traditional Indian Chicken Curry;

Indian Chicken Curry is one of the easiest dish that can be prepared. In this blog you will learn to prepare most simple and most traditional Chicken Curry! This easy to cook chicken curry can be eaten with rice or bread. In this recipe, the chicken bone is cooked in a masala and some special spices.

Ingredients needed for Recipe

  • Chicken 700gm
  • Ginger paste 1 tbsp.
  • Garlic paste 1 tbsp.
  • Onions 4 (medium size)
  • Tomatoes 4 (medium size)
  • Fresh coriander leaves 1 tbsp. (chopped)
  • Ghee or Oil 4 tbsp.
  • Cinnamon 1 inch
  • Green cardamom 4
  • Cloves 4
  • Cumin powder 2 tbsp.
  • Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
  • Coriander powder 2 tbsp.
  • Garam masala powder 1 tsp
  • Red chilli powder 1 tsp
  • Salt, according to your taste

Step by Step recipe to prepare Chicken Curry

 Step 1: Heat oil or ghee in a pan. Add green cardamoms, cloves, cinnamon and sauté for around a minute and add onions and sauté till golden brown.

Step 2: Add garlic paste and ginger paste and sauté for three more minutes and stir in between.

Step 3: Add coriander powder, turmeric powder, cumin powder, red chilli powder and mix well.

Step 4: Add tomato puree and keep stirring till oil starts to separate from the masala.

Step 5:  Add chicken pieces and salt. Sauté for 7 minutes

Step 6: Add three cups of water and bring it to boil. Cover the lid and cook till the chicken is fully cooked.

Step 7: Sprinkle garam masala powder.

Step 8: Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and Chicken Curry is ready to serve.

Serve Hot with rice, paratha, roti or chapatti.
